Destiny Church is made up of people from neighborhoods throughout the Louisville area. We come from different backgrounds, ethnicities, generations, experiences, and styles. What unites us is that we have all been changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Because of Jesus' great love for us, we are committed to loving each other and helping each other grow in faith. We are also purposeful about loving those outside the Church and sharing the good news of the Gospel with them.
We believe God is sovereign over all, uncreated and outside of time. He is one God, comprised of three equal persons: The Father, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died to redeem us from sin, and rose from the dead three days later. The only way to be right with God is through Jesus.
We believe the Bible is the words of God written down by men. It is the only faultless authority for doctrine and life.
We believe that humankind was created by God to know Him and enjoy Him, but we chose to turn our back on God. Sin, sickness and death entered God's perfect world because of our decision.
We believe that man can only be redeemed from sin by Jesus through His grace.
We believe sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming like Jesus.
We believe that Holy Spirit is active today. He dwells in all of the redeemed and further fills them with power to do the work of God's Kingdom. This power is walked out in various ways such as healing and prophecy.
We believe the Church is the community structure established by Jesus and He is its senior leader. It is essential for believers in Jesus to be a part of a local Church in order to grow in their relationship with God.
We believe in obeying the teachings of Jesus regarding the practices of water baptism and Communion.
We believe that Jesus will return again to reign on the earth.
We honor Jesus as the head of the Church. Under His lordship and direction, we have men and women who serve the church by leading in various aspects of church life. We don’t see these people as superheroes or extra spiritual. They are simply brothers and sisters that the Lord has called to the role of overseeing and equipping the Church. We are thankful for the people that Jesus has blessed our church with.

At these services, our environment is casual. Our worship is mostly acoustic. And there's almost always coffee and tea available.
We see children as important members in the family of Christ. Our kids often stay with the adults for the majority gatherings, because not only can they learn from being a part, but they also have gifts that they bring to the Church. At times, they will break off for a class time of their own, where they can discuss Scripture from their perspective and pray for each other's needs.
Jesus and the Samaritan Woman
We walk through John 4 and put ourselves in the shoes of the Samaritan woman as she encounters grace personified: Jesus.
