Jesus
bio-jesus We honor Jesus as the head of the Church. Under His lordship and direction, we have men and women who serve the church by leading in various aspects of church life. We are thankful for the people that Jesus has blessed our church with.
Chris & Hannah Davis
chris-and-hannah Chris Davis is the lead elder of Destiny Church. Together, he and his wife Hannah lead by serving the church through pastoring and teaching, as well as general oversight of ministry. The Davis’s, along with their two children, moved to Louisville in 2010 to start Destiny Church. Because Chris is originally from Arkansas and Hannah is originally from Wisconsin, Louisville is a perfect blend of their two cultures. They live in Germantown, but spend as much time as they can in the Highlands or hunting for authentic Mexican food throughout the city.
Sam & Jennifer Smith
Sam Smith is an elder of Destiny Church and he and his wife Jennifer together bring a special blend of experience and wisdom. They have a deep love for the church and seeing people walk out their faith. Jennifer also serves by leading worship. They have 4 children, some grown and some still at home and the family resides in New Albany.
Steve & Ellen Meyer
steve-and-ellen Steve and Ellen Meyer, our youth ministers, serve the teens of Destiny Church by pastoring and teaching. They lead by building relationships with teens and modeling Christ’s love and lordship. Steve is also an elder-in-training. Recently married, the Meyers came to Louisville in August of 2012. Ellen is originally from New Hampshire and Steve is from Pittsburgh. They now live just off of Frankfort Avenue and enjoy exploring Louisville.
Tom & Machelle Kushnerick
tom-and-machelle Tom Kushnerick is an elder-in-training and he and his wife Machelle have a heart for discipleship. They love to focus on building relationships with the Destiny Church family. The Kushnericks, with their three children, moved to Louisville in July of 2012. Previously, they resided in Grand Junction, CO, where they served as Youth Pastors. They currently live in the Highlands and enjoy the culture at their doorstep.
Amanda Brady
amanda Amanda Brady serves as the Children’s Minister of Destiny Church. Her desire is to see the kids at Destiny Church begin to understand who God is, His loving pursuit of them, and to help them to live for Him. Amanda also has strong administrative gifts that are a blessing to the church. Originally from Jeffersonville, Indiana, the Louisville area has always been home to her. She currently lives in the Highlands with her kitty. She loves art, writing, laughter and deep conversations – especially over frozen yogurt.
Matt & Ally Condra
matt-and-ally Matt and Ally Condra are the Worship Ministers of Destiny Church. They carry strong pastoring and prophetic giftings. Matt and Ally’s heart is to create a worship environment where God’s love and grace are illustrated and people are able to deepen their relationships with Him. They also desire to inspire and equip others with similar passion. Matt is from Southern Indiana and Ally grew up in Oregon. After meeting at a music college in Tennessee, they landed in Louisville, getting married in the summer of 2011 and barely a year later, adding Penelope Jean, their beautiful new baby girl. When Penny allows, they can usually be found drinking coffee, Matt researching new music or classic BMW’s and Ally working on her current craft project.
Jeremy & Angi Farris
Jeremy and Angi Farris serve at Destiny Church as worship leaders. They also lead the Underground, a worship and prayer gathering that unites believers from churches throughout the city. The Farris’s were high-school sweethearts who realized from a very early age that they shared the same passion to worship God. Though they are native Louisvillians, Jeremy and Angi have recently “transplanted” themselves to the Highlands with their three boys, extremely massive mastiff Mona and annoyingly hairless cat Cleo. When they’re not remodeling their new “old” home they love building relationships and helping develop and nurture the talents of others.
Bethany Scotch
Bethany Scotch serves as the City Connection Minister at Destiny Church. Her passion is for the church to become a part of the heartbeat in the community and to be actively involved in the Highlands, in all its uniqueness. She is originally from the East Coast, but has lived in Louisville since May 2011 after having graduated from Valley Forge Christian College with a BA in Theological Studies. She enjoys having kittens, frozen yogurt with gummy bears, cups of tea, nail polish and books in her life.
